Fresh Pond Reservation

30 degrees. The three of us take a long walk around the pond. A lot of the kind of ice pictures that are my favorites. Small dogs today--plus the glove chasing, glove eating dog. And aren't those Dachshund doggies just so cute! Ranger Jean tells us some things about branches and leaves and when to put a bird feeder out: after two days of snow cover, when the birds can't get at the ground, but avoid having it out all the time or hawks will turn your feeder into a McBirds fast food location.
