Fresh Pond Reservation

32 degrees, partly to mostly cloudy, no wind. Cassady is, again, enthusiastic to accompany me around Fresh Pond. She now gets excited and jumps around on seeing me put on my snow boots--that's the sign I'm headed for the pond. Late today, so there are lots of sunset pictures. At the top of the switchbacks there's an area of open water near the old pumphouse that appears to be green. The scarecrow in image number ** is Larry. He's now a father taking the kids for sledding. Whatever in the heck happened to him?
